WORKOUT TIMERS
Boxing round timer
Rounds and rest like a real bout, for bag work, pads and shadowboxing
Most professional and Olympic boxing is fought in rounds of 3 minutes with 1 minute of rest, and most boxing training follows the same rhythm. Beginners often start with 2-minute rounds, and a bag session usually runs 6 to 12 rounds.
How to set it up in Cero
- Create a new simple timer.
- Set high intensity to 3 minutes, low intensity to 1 minute and sets to the number of rounds.
- Choose a countdown sound or voice cue for the last seconds of each round, and turn on vibration.
- In the gym, put Gym Display on a TV so everyone can see the round, the time left and what’s next.
Session ideas
- Heavy bag: 6 rounds, alternating power rounds and speed rounds.
- Shadowboxing: 3 rounds to warm up before pads or sparring.
- Pads with a partner: 8 rounds, swapping roles every round.
- Fitness boxing: 2-minute rounds with 30 seconds of rest.
